Recently I was stunned to find that I'd
won a most beautiful give away
from
Bella Mouse arrived
today!
I am so delighted with her
and utterly gobsmacked
at the perfection of her dear little face
and lovely clothes!
Thankyou so much
Lucy and Annabelle
for your kind generosity,
you have warmed my heart.
When Robin heard that the postman had left a parcel
all the way from the USA
she knew instantly whom the parcel was for
and jumped out of the bath in great excitement!
(remember she was having a bath
in our last visit to the dollhouse?)
She grabbed a dressing gown
and quickly wrapped herself in it
and flew down the stairs,
nearly tripping in her haste and excitement,
into the lounge room
and unwrapped
the tiny and most gorgeous
Bella Mouse!
Bella grabbed up her wee basket and purse
so they wouldn't be lost midst the chaos
and plonked them on the couch
while she and Robin hugged one another
and danced around the room.
Robin could barely speak she was so happy
at meeting her new friend.
When they began to be dizzy
Robin sat on the lounge with Bella on her knee,
she couldn't bear to be parted from her special friend
for even a second.
(I must admit myself to having a little tear in my eye
seeing their happiness together)
Poor Bella was a little jet lagged at first
but a heartening cup of tea set her to rights quickly.
When she was feeling revived
she told us her journey had been quite comfortable
and she hadn't been travel sick at all
but she is very pleased to be on terra firma again.
The upside-down weather had her a trifle puzzled
as it had been warm when she set out
on her journey.
On arriving in the Land Downunder
she was very glad she'd packed her warm coat
because,
although the sun is bright and the birds are singing happily,
it is mid-winter in her new homeland
and quite cool.
Robin and Bella fell in love instantly they saw one another,
the smile on Robins face says it all!
One of the dogs seems to have fallen for sweet Bella as well ;)
Robins pet rattie Camilla
(aka Milla)
thought she might be a tiny bit jealous of the newcomer
who was receiving so much attention
but Bella is such a gracious and sweet person
that they've become best friends already.
As for myself, I too am under the spell of
Sweet Bella Mouse.
I can't believe my luck in winning such a wonderful
Give Away and can't say thankyou enough.
Bella is loved by all,
and will be a treasured member
of the dollhouse family.
Congratulations for this fantastic win!

Thankyou Faby! You leave such lovely comments :)
ReplyDeleteHi Eliana, I am truly very lucky, Bella Mouse is so much better in real life than photos.
ReplyDeleteG'day Vicky, I am utterly stunned at winning Bella Mouse, she really is a gorgeous little character, so tiny and perfect herself and her clothes are so fine and delicate and pretty. Robin hasn't let Bella out of her arms for a moment since they met! How lucky is Robin to have Bella seeing she was already a Rodent Fancier? You couldn't get a fancier rodent than the Beautiful Bella :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning Bella! She is perfect in the arms of Robin. It is a very sweet scene.
ReplyDeleteGenevieve

GRACIAS por no tener palabra de verificación
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the two girls together...they look made for each other. I am glad Bella's trip was not too harsh, I was worried. Thank you for all the kind praise.
Lucy
Awww Susan, I love Bella too!
ReplyDeleteHi Genevieve, thanks for helping to welcome Bella Mouse!
ReplyDeleteHi Rosa, glad you enjoyed Bella Mouse's introduction to the dollhouse.
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy, thankyou so much for Bella Mouse, she is a little treasure, being very spoilt by all the dollhouse inhabitants! Luckily miniature 'people' have short memories, any discomfort during Bella's journey has all but been forgotten already :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sans!! Sister-in-Name ;) Photos don't do justice to little Bella, she is so detailed!
ReplyDeleteBella is such a cute little mouse, she fits right in with both Robin and your doll house.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever given thought to writing a miniaute book about all this? You already have the written word and Photographs for it.
I love how you write about the dollhoue family, you have a real knack of making it so interesting. Why stop at one book, as the story grows with additions to the doll house so could the books.
Congratulations Susan.
Heheh Dianne, wouldn't you rather read my drivel here for free than if I wrote a book that you had to pay for? I'm glad you like the story though :)
ReplyDeleteBella Mouse is just beautiful, she has a sweet little face, I'm so lucky to have her.
Me alegro de que este en casa tu ratoncito.
ReplyDeleteSeguro que sera muy feliz.
besitos ascension
Hi Ascension! Bella Mouse has been introduced to family and friends now and everyone thinks she's really beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful win - she's delightful:) And I just love the tale Susan :)
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, thanks for visiting! You have to see Bella Mouse in person, photos don't do justice to her detail or the fineness of Lucy's knitting. I really wish I could knit like that ;)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet is that? You are a lucky gal! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Dale, nice to see you! Believe me, I feel luckier every time I see little Bella, she is very sweet!
