The very talented
and very sweet
recently had a beautiful Give Away
at her blog.
To my amazement,
I won!!
I couldn't believe I had really won!
A few minutes ago the postman left
a package in my letter box.
Great joy when I read the name of the sender
and I knew there was something wonderful
waiting for me to open :)
Inside was this exciting little parcel and a postcard
which can be cut out and made into
a tiny building!
Don't you love miniature parcels?
I love to hold them in my hand
and think of the sender
and delay opening them for a while
to enjoy the moment for a little longer ;)
Curiosity and excitement means I can't
wait for too many moments before opening......
Inside was this very beautiful Teacosy
made by Rosanna.
I apologise for not being able to show
how beautiful this cosy is in a photo,
it is a work of art in my hand.
Every stitch is perfect, it is so neatly made
and the tiny Carnival Horses
make me smile.
How lucky am I???
Doing a Happy Dance and clapping my hands :)
I loved this cosy when Rosanna showed it on her blog!
I was taken completely by surprise when I won it!!
Never for a moment did I think of winning
when I left a comment,
I just wanted to say how much I admired
Rosanna's tea cosies.
Thank you Rosanna,
I will treasure this beautiful gift forever.
Congratulation!! What a beautifull thing!!

DeleteHello Susan! How marvelous to have won something that you so desired! That doesn't happen often but I am so happy that it has happened to YOU! Roseanna's work is truly beautiful and as one tea cosy expert in crochet you would have a great appreciation for the expertise of another needle artist's work, so Congratulations! I look forward to seeing how you showcase this beautiful work of art, Susan and make sure that when you do that you take a lot of pictures, Remember we bloggers LOVE pictures!
ReplyDeleteelizabeth
Yes Elizabeth, I loved this cosy at first glimpse! I will do photos of it for you asap. It is in my modern kitchen, the centre of attention amidst a delectable afternoon tea!
DeleteSusan, I can understand your excitement. I purchased tea cosies from Rosanna on Etsy and although her pictures were excellent, they were even more amazing when you actually hold them in your hands. As a cross-stitcher I appreciate all of the hard work that goes in to one tea cosy. Enjoy...may your luck continue.
ReplyDeleteThe buildings are so sweet! I hope you'll show us how they look when they are put together. The tea cozy is beyond words!!
ReplyDeletehugs♥,
Caroline
Yes, I'm loving this cosy Caroline, the colours are so shabby chic and spring like. I'm working up courage to make the building, it's so tiny I'm afraid of messing it up!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you are doing a happy dance, its magnificent.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it gorgeous Indy Poppy? I've tried dollhouse scale petitpoint in the past and it's haaaaard!!! So I'm a very lucky collector to have this tea cosy in my collection of handmade beauties!
