Rainbow Connection

Real life or miniature?

Hard to believe I've actually made something miniature at last!!
And it was FUN!
Sorry about the bad lighting, the colours are really much brighter.

Yes, this one is the Real Life counterpart.

  1. OMG, this real life sized granny blanket is awesome, but the same is also for your miniature. Your crochetings are always beautiful work, Susan :D! I see that you're truly 'connected' with the rainbow, beautiful lively colors.
    Wishing you a nice weekend.

    1. Hi there m1k1! Nice of you to drop in :) heheh, I don't really like working with dmc stranded, it's a trifle thick for 1/12th scale but the colours are truly scrumptious!

  12. Hooray Susan!!! I LOVE this rainbow coverlets both in mini and in full-sized. I love the look of it on the bed and I really like the thin band of green around the perimeter; it looks simply Splendid! I certainly hope that you plan on making more of them, because I am sure that they will prove as popular as your Fabulous Tea Cozies! :D

  13. Thank you dear Elizabeth, you always leave such warm comments! I've been a trifle obsessed with rainbow rugs this year, there are two more RL size in ripple stitch completed for grandchildren, they have brightened my world and I'm so glad you enjoyed seeing these two :)

  16. Absolutely lovely, both blankets. Love the colour sceme. The tiny one looks soo neat, is it done in crochet cotton? Embroydery cotton? Happy weekend, from Pam in Norway

  17. Hi Pam, thanks for a lovely comment :) Crocheting these bright colours makes me happy! It's a shame the lighting is dull in the miniature photo, it is bright too. Yes, dmc embroidery thread - not really fine enough but such a lot of beautiful colours! Happy summer to you.

  18. Your crochet work is out of this world! The bed looks so gorgeous with the blanket. It's so cottage adorable! Thank you so much for coming by my blog and letting me know about the scroll saw. I was about to buy one last year and then I thought I need to do more research. You certainly helped me make up my mind.
    big hugs♥,

  19. Hullo Caroline, so nice of you to visit :) glad you liked the rainbow rug!

You won't regret having a scroll saw, they are so versatile and save so much hard work. They are very safe, I let my grandchildren use mine from 7 years of age, they can't really cut people because the blade goes up and down.
