Haha Margaret! Crazy and crazier, that's about right! Actually, the thread these are made from isn't all that fine, I shall show you something made with fine thread shortly.
you amaze me Susan- having held a piece of your work in my hands I have to say that pictures do not even begin to make you realize how tiny and intricate your work is. These are sooo cute!!
Well, it looks like the shoettes are very popular! Thanks for all the nice comments.
Perhaps I'd better have a give away soon. Heheh, already planned ;) One more pair to make and I'll announce it. There will be the opportunity for 3 people to win a pair.
It may take a day or two for me to get back to my hook, grandkids staying over, much loved brother and family visiting, me is one exhausted old bird!!
I bought a three inch doll recently and your blog gave me Doris' name for the layette! I found that and purchased it as well. The layette pattern you use has booties but not these type. Have you ever thought of selling the pattern? They are a bit small for my baby but with the shaping I can make them bigger. I love your blog, I hope you continue to post again soon.
They are so cute Susan, are the sizes called tiny and crazy-tiny, I really don't know how you can crochet such teeny things, but glad you do!!

ReplyDeleteYou know, all your comments have brought a little tear to my eye. Thankyou for such sweet comments, you're all so kind.
ReplyDeleteIt was only by chance that I even showed these shoettes because they're not a new design.
The shoette pattern was designed years ago but the original thread is no longer available so I spent a few hours re-working the pattern.
These are fabulous and soooo precious!!
ReplyDeleteSo long as they're sweet tears it's ok - usually we prefer to bring smiles ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe time to open an Etsy store???
