Progress

I had to miss a play date with Lidi last week
so she kindly played catch up with me today.

My painting skills haven't improved I'm afraid
so the artwork is all courtesy of the amazingly talented Lidi!
I watch what she does with a wiggle of the brush
but when I try to do the same thing
I just make mud.
So,
thanks Lidi
 for doing my painting.

The bench will stay but the rest of
the loose items are only temporary.

The first wash is done on the plaster work,
the rocks yet to be done.

It really is an amazing journey I'm taking Laura. I look at this courtyard and can't believe it's mine! Only a couple more lessons I think to finish up though I doubt I'll ever learn to do the painting. My art skill is paint-by-numbers level, I must frustrate the heck out of poor Lidi!

Thanks everyone for visiting and for your encouraging comments! I can't take any credit for the painting though, Lidi had to do most of it or it would be a muddy mess.

Caterina, the cactus tray came from http://www.etsy.com/shop/BlueKittyMiniatures

Susan, this courtyard is really coming to life - you must be thrilled with it! I just know it's going to be fabulous when it's filled with all your wonderful miniatures - and maybe a chihuahua or two??
